LTG Still Alive In 2005
Ruben Jones
opened the show with a dynamic piece and blessed the grown in order to set the
vibe for the evening
Demetrious Ford spoke words of spiritual, electrical energy, as he
dedicated a poetic peace to his deceived cousin. He surely delivered words that
shook the ground with vibrations thunder when he spoke about how his cousin was
violently murdered during an inner-city shoot-out in
Philadelphia
this summer. No doubt, he made an impact on the audience filled with young
impressionable youth.
Chris Cream blessed the mic and spoke directly to the young ladies;
letting them know that real music comes from within and that true hip-hop speaks
words of wisdom to the next generation; describing it as an uplifting to the
beauty of the black woman not a degradation to the black man's existence. With
his words he let them know that true Hip- hop is a politely, social and economic
movement used to equalize the playing fields between the privileged elites who
continue to monopolize the economy. Rhapsody reminded the people of the strength
in the unity of the black family.
Tatyana Monique returned to the stage for a poetic performance. Who
ever said “big things come in small packages” must have had
Tatyana Monique in mind! She allowed the
audience a brief moment in her heart, her mind and her soul when she performed
“Baby Falling”. The piece addresses the
emotional torment of a young child living life without a father. Her deliverance
was so moving that it brought the crowd to tears.

Traveler and his beat crew took the audience on a drum wave back to
Africa!!!
If the crowd
thought there was going to be any gaps in this show they came to the wrong
production from start to finish the performances kept increasing in energy.
Lady Adeana
closed the show with her hit single “Trade it All
for Love”.

The Live Theatre Gang
would like to send out a special thanks to all those who supported
their efforts to expand in order to service a larger population of urban
communities across America; Ras, Tatyana, Bizzy
Liz, Bookie, Chris Cream, Ruben, Tamika, Adeana’s Camfam, Rahropsody , The Kids
form the YMCA, and the entire North Philly community.

“Because it takes a village to raise a child!!”
